Pencil Tip style Spectre Performance exhaust system tips are available in two sizes, 4” O.D. with a resonator or 4.5” O.D. without an acoustic resonator

Spectre Performance offers a line of stainless steel exhaust tips in three basic styles and different sizes to suit the look of most vehicles. Additionally, the three screw mounting system allows Spectre Performance exhaust tips to fit a range of exhaust tubing from 1-3/4” to 3-3/4”. Spectre Performance stainless steel exhaust tips can be welded to a stainless steel exhaust system and mounted permanently.

All but one of the five Spectre Performance universal exhaust tips features a built in acoustic resonator. An acoustic resonator, when used in an automobile exhaust system, is designed to reduce noise by making sound waves cancel each other out. The resonator will also change the exhaust note with the goal of providing a deeper and less raspy tone.

The angled or straight tip of each Spectre Performance exhaust system tip features a rolled edge which eliminates the possibility of a sharp edge. The three basic styles of universal Spectre Performance exhaust system tips are “Pencil Tip”, “Slant Tip”, and “Oval Body.”

The Pencil Tip style Spectre Performance exhaust tips are available in two sizes. Universal pencil tip, number 25556, is four inches in outside diameter, 10-1/8” long, and incorporates and acoustic resonator. 25556 is designed to be mounted onto an exhaust pipe between 2-inches and 3-inches in diameter. A larger pencil style exhaust tip is also available from Spectre Performance. Universal exhaust tip, number 22431, is 4-1/2” in diameter, 13-1/2” long, and will fit 2-3/4 to 3-3/4” diameter exhaust pipes. 4.5” pencil tip exhaust tip 22431 does not incorporate an acoustic resonator.

Slant Tip style Spectre Performance exhaust tips are also available in two sizes. Universal slant tip, number 22354, is 3-1/2 inches in outside diameter, 8-1/2” long, and incorporates and acoustic resonator. 22354 is designed to be mounted onto an exhaust pipe between 1.75-inches and 2.75-inches in diameter. The larger slant style exhaust tip available from Spectre Performance is part number 22421. Slant tip 22421 is 4-1/2” in diameter, 10-1/2” long, and will fit 2-3/4 to 3-3/4” diameter exhaust pipes. 4.5” slant cut exhaust tip 22421 incorporates an acoustic resonator for a better exhaust note.

Oval exhaust tip 25105 features a round resonator inside the oval body for an aggressive look as well as improved exhaust tone and will mount on exhaust tubing from 2.25 to 3.25 inches

A single oval body exhaust tip is offered by Spectre Performance. Oval exhaust tip, number 25105, will add a unique sporty look to a standard tail pipe. Oval exhaust tip 25105 features a round resonator inside the oval body for an aggressive look and an improved exhaust note. At its widest point the Spectre Performance oval body exhaust tip is 3-3/4” across and will mount on exhaust tubing from 2.25 to 3.25 inches. Overall length of universal oval exhaust tip 25105 is 11-inches.

Following the discontinuation of the imported Pontiac GTO, General Motors was at it again in 2008 with another Holden rebadged as a Pontiac. This time however, Pontiac targeted the performance sedan market with a Holden Commodore based car known in North America as the Pontiac G8. The G8 was Pontiac’s first rear-wheel-drive full-size sedan since 1986. Early Toyota 4Runner models weren’t much more than a Toyota Pickup truck with a camper shell on the back; however, subsequent generations have transformed the 4Runner into a mid-size semi-luxury SUV which still retains some of its original off-road capabilities. While most of the 4Runner’s competitors have switched to uni-body construction crossover SUV’s, the 4Runner still retains a body-on-frame design.
